Christian singer Forrest Frank released a video mourning the assassination of Charlie Kirk and begging his followers to turn to Jesus. He lost 30,000 followers over the video.
In a follow-up video, he stated, “I don’t care anymore. I just want you to know that Jesus Christ is here and He loves you.”
Frank posted the first video on TikTok last week, shortly after Kirk’s death. He reacted to a clip of Kirk praising his music and said that the angst many people feel upon Kirk’s death is a desire for the return of Jesus.
“Charlie was so bold with his message, and I don’t feel comfortable using this platform to share music without stripping everything away,” Frank said, “and like Charlie did, speak my mind to the core. The reality is that Jesus Christ is the only way, and He’s coming back soon, and when He does, every single knee will bow. It’s time [to] repent and get your life right, because we don’t know if today is our last day.”
In the video he made reacting to the 30,000 people who unfollowed him, Frank doubled down on his commitment to spreading the Gospel.
“I don’t want you to follow me,” he said. “I don’t want you to track my music. I don’t want you to come to my shows. I don’t want you to do any of that if you don’t do this one thing, and that is, follow Jesus Christ, the King of all kings, the Lord of all lords, the one who is, the one who is to come.”
Kirk was a devout evangelical Christian, and the Gospel was central to his message to young people. He said before his death that he wanted to be remembered for courage for his faith, as CatholicVote previously reported.
